Life-Bread

‘I am the living bread
of life’, Christ Jesus said:
As bodies by bread live,
souls need the Life He’ll give.

He bids us come, believe
in Him, His grace receive.
So fed – new Life; each day
supplied along the way.

For bread sustains the poor
and rich – foundation sure
of bodies’ nourishment:
Christ makes our souls content.
