They bound those hands that healed*
when Peter used his sword**
to cut off Malchus’ ear
–Christ touched – the ear restored.
Love and power
Jesus displayed:
still He has grace for
the many who’ve prayed!

Those hands that touched the leper***
with kindness, healing grace,
they bound, rejecting thus
His gracious touch, embrace.

All awestruck when He spoke.****
His hands He let them bind.
This One who made the earth,
to this, for us, resigned.

Consider, think, of Jesus Christ!
Who is He? was He? – hear.
He brought, He taught a message great
– the mighty God drew near.

Now many people want a priest,
someone our cause to plead.
to help us be what we are not
bring peace and intercede.

And so He was the Son divine,
God-Man in heaven now,
who understands and has done all
that we His grace may know.
